Barbara & Joey will be exchanging their vows this May on the beach of Hilton Head Island. We had an awesome time during their “Getting to Know You” Session and were also fortunate to have a beautiful night on the beach!

Barbie emailed me after our session: “We just want to tell you how much fun we had working with you…You made a really cool memory for us, we had an absolute blast! Now we are so excited for the Big Day!”

I am looking forward to Barbie & Joey’s Big Day as well as I am sure it will be fabulous! They are are fantastic couple to work with and I am fortunate to be their Wedding Photographer on Hilton Head!

I also got to meet the couples children! Barbie has the two girls in pink, Julia & Jacklyn. Joey has the three in black, Kayla, Julianna & Tyler. Together they are the “Super Seven” as Barbie calls the family. The children will be the Bridal Party on the Big Day!

Kellie McCann Photography ☼ Hilton Head Photographer; Wedding Blogs

Wedding Photography. You now need to submit your images to Wedding Blogs. Another thing to do on the never ending list of “to-do’s” that I inevitably have stored in the form of a “note” in Microsoft Outlook…Will I ever complete my list, as I continuously add new items, probably not…but I will make it a point to submit to Wedding Blogs as this will help SEO rankings as my friend from Smart Cabbage mentioned and encouraged me to do so. SEO rankings are so important in today’s world and it is also nice to see your hard work published and recognized on another site.

So I tried my hand at the submissions a few months back. I submitted two destination weddings from the past year to various Wedding Blogs…less than 24 hours later, they were marked as “Accepted”! I was hooked.

My first Destination Wedding postings have been published. Today on Becoming the Mrs.com the Wedding of Audrey and Ryan from this past post was published. Also “two bright lights” picked up the images from this post as well as the images from Betsy and Brian’s wedding at Belfair that you may remember from this past post. Thanks also goes out to Allison at Celebration Events for posting the publication on their blog as well!

My goal for 2011 is to submit to the “Ultimate Wedding Blog” Style Me Pretty and keep my fingers crossed to be “accepted” to their site with a Real Wedding publication.

Ok, time to walk the dogs and hit that “to-do” list

Kellie McCann Photography ☼ Hilton Head Photographer; Style It Salon Make-Over series 2011

My good friend Joy Ross, Owner & Stylist at Style It Salon in Bluffton is running a contest in The Bluffton Sun for make-over contestants. Saturday was the first of the year and Jessica was the winner! The photos below are (left) the “before” photo and the (right) “after” photo. Joy gave Jess a great new style and applied makeup to finish the look.

Kellie McCann Photography ☼ Hilton Head Photographer; Lauren & Cristhian

This wedding was a real treat for me–A wedding inside a Church! Here in Hilton Head Island, a majority of our weddings are on the beach as we are a Destination Wedding Market. Lauren & Cristhian are local residents and had a beautiful, traditional Catholic Ceremony at St. Francis By the Sea Catholic Church on Hilton Head Island. Afterwards, the couple and their guests celebrated together at Colleton Point in Rose Hill Plantation, Bluffton.

Lauren & Cristhian were so easy to work with and photograph. I just love so many photos that we captured of the two, but I have selected my top favorites to share here on the blog.
